We will soon be able to see in Tarragona the best early operas from around the world! The REC Tarragona International Film Festival returns this 2023 with a new edition, which will take place from November 22 to 26.
We continue to promote new film talents and emerging creators through the official Opera Prima section. From the present, we want to talk and enjoy the creation of the future, and with these objectives, we open the bases for the presentation of the 23rd edition of the REC.
Works of any format will be accepted, as long as they are a first or second feature film – when the first has not been commercially released in Spain – fiction or documentary, with a minimum duration of 60 minutes, finished between January 2021 and September 2023, and not released on Spanish commercial screens. The submission deadline ends next September 1, at 12 AM.
The scope of participation is international. An International Jury will award the Award to the Best Film in the competitive Opera Prima section with a financial endowment of 5,000 euros.
It is necessary and mandatory to be selected to complete the registration form and to deliver the documentation required in each case within the dates marked at the Festival office. Otherwise, participants will be excluded from the selection process.
