THE TENTH EDITION OF THE PRIMER TEST WILL BE HELD FROM NOVEMBER 23 TO 25, 2023. PROJECTS IN POST-PRODUCTION THAT WANT TO PARTICIPATE MAY SUBMIT TO THE CALL UNTIL OCTOBER 2, 2023.
Primer Test offers a development and rehearsal space for film projects in the post-production phase that seek to receive advice from a careful selection of international experts. For three days, international producers, programmers and sales agents meet behind closed doors at the REC Festival industry conferences to contribute their experience, and thus promote the success and entry into the international market of the works of emerging directors and producers.
Since 2014, the Primer Test has collaborated with the release of productions that have had an important weight in contemporary film cartography. Titles like Flash Bravío (2020), The Two Nights Yesterday (2019), Ojos Negros (2018), Júlia Ist (2017), Trinta Lumes (2017), Letters to Paul Morrisey, Ana by Day (both 2016) or With the Viento (2015) have found in the Primer Test an opportunity to continue growing their projects, obtaining screening spaces and recognition from other markets and international festivals.
Primer Test is a project of the REC International Film Festival of Tarragona (PLAY Acció Cultural), with the support of ACE and iCAA, the Plan de Recuperación y Resilencia and NextGenerationEU and the collaboration of Catalan Films, Deluxe, the Independent Festival of Barcelona, the Malaga Festival, the Cinemart Rotterdam and the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
The tenth edition of the Primer Test will be held from November 23 to 25, 2023. Post-production projects that want to participate can be submitted to the call until October 2, 2023.
