REC i Acció! is born from the collaboration of the REC Tarragona International Film Festival with Acció>Cinema, a project promoted by Catalunya Film Festivals, with the collaboration of the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD) of the Generalitat de Catalunya and in alliance with Lafede – Justícia Global. The project connects the world of audiovisual and that of cooperation to promote a critical, committed and mobilized citizenry for a fairer world.

Aimed at ONG and social entities in the province of Tarragona, REC i Acció! offers theoretical and practical training to discover the possibilities of audiovisual as a tool for communication, awareness-raising and social transformation. Through the language of cinema and with the support of professionals, participating entities will learn to build and tell their own stories, give visibility to the causes they defend and find new ways to connect with citizens.

The training will culminate in the creation of a short audiovisual piece by each entity, which will have professional advice during the process and which will be presented publicly within the framework of the 26th REC Tarragona International Film Festival. An opportunity to turn the ideas, causes and work of the entities into stories capable of reaching new audiences.

REC i Acció! also has the support at the local level of the Coordinator of NGOs for Development, the Defense of Human Rights and Peace of Tarragona and the Department of Cooperation of the Tarragona City Council.
