This film explores the end of life, love and the pain of inevitable separation, through a serene depth and an unusual visual force. Claudia (Àngela Molina), after being diagnosed with a terminal illness, decides to make her last trip to Switzerland. Flavio (Alfredo Castro), who has not separated in forty years, makes a gesture of love, complicity and humanity: he accompanies her on this journey of no return.
In his new work, the director combines an intimate narrative with an emotionally dense landscape, and addresses with sensitivity and sobriety the dichotomy between the desire to end suffering and the anguish of loss. The strength and subtlety of dance is allied with the intimacy of the conversations between the two protagonists, creating a powerful visual metaphor about the path towards the inevitable, where love becomes the last pillar of resistance, all wrapped up in the music of Maria Arnal.
