Olivia, her little brother Tim and their mother Ingrid are evicted from their home and must start over in another neighbourhood. While Ingrid juggles to solve their situation, Olivia invents a protective fantasy for her brother and herself: nothing they are living is real, they are shooting a movie. But this invention will have unexpected consequences.
Irene Iborra has become the first Spanish woman to direct a stop-motion feature film, one of the most beautiful and painstaking animation techniques. With a first-rate team of animators (responsible for My Life as a Zucchini and Pinocchio among many others), and with the support of Maite Carranza, the author of the book on which it is based, Iborra has created a touching story that addresses mental health and social integration through Olivia’s hopeful perspective. She will discover in neighbourhood life a new family that shows her that collective support is the best way to face adversity.
With the presence of the animators and a special presentation on how the film was made.
