Alex, a young actress, is raped at a New Year’s Eve party and does not recognise her aggressor. When she turns to her brother Adrián for understanding, he reacts by doubting her and putting her under pressure. Alex distances herself from him. Over the course of a year, she faces disgust, shame and guilt alone. Adrián, consumed by rage, makes his own decisions, leading him down an increasingly dark path, far from what Alex needs. Meanwhile, she performs the vengeful role of Medea and finds in theatre the only way to channel her pain and fury.
Twice Goya-nominated Ángela Cervantes establishes herself as one of the most powerful actresses of the moment in this brave, visceral and furious thriller about sexual violence.
