Jennifer, Gabriel and José are three deaf musicians from Venezuela preparing for a historic challenge: bringing to the stage for the first time, in sign language, Beethoven’s Fidelio, under the direction of Gustavo Dudamel, one of the living legends of contemporary classical music. Through them, we discover not only the artistic process, but also the loneliness and the barriers they face every day. And, at the same time, something precious: how music, felt, seen and shared, becomes refuge, strength and a possibility for the future.
With the participation of Gustavo Dudamel, the directorial debut of María Valverde is an emotional and meaningful journey about the transformative power that culture can have in people’s lives.
