Amélie is a Belgian girl born in Japan. Thanks to her friend and caregiver Nishio-san, her life is a succession of adventures and discoveries. But on the day of her third birthday, everything changes.

Audiences in San Sebastián and Annecy fell in love with her instantly, as the animated adaptation of the childhood of writer Amélie Nothomb is one of those films that leaves you walking out of the cinema with a warm heart. Featuring exquisite animation that blends the best of Western and Asian traditions, it is a film about the adventure of growing up, narrated by a three-year-old girl… who is surprisingly mature.
