Once upon a time, a group of French film critics wanted to change the world. They were Jean-Luc Godard, François Truffaut and Claude Chabrol, among many others, and they founded the film movement that unleashed a new wave of creativity that would radically transform the way we understand cinema today.
Focusing on the shooting of the foundational work of the Nouvelle Vague, Breathless, and on its most emblematic figure, Godard, Richard Linklater signs a vivid, playful and unsolemn tribute, where myths come down to Earth. Among them, an all-stars of French cinema: Rohmer, Varda, Demy, Seberg, Belmondo, Jean-Pierre Melville and even Roberto Rossellini.
