Primer Test
RECLab’s work-in-progress.
Primer Test is the RECLab work-in-progress, with 7 to 10 works section, in diverse post-production phases and with the open call to Spanish productions (or co-productions). The chosen works are presented in front of a reduced group of international experts (programmers, selling agents and other members of the industry) that will discuss with the authors about the best way of finishing their work.
The organization tries to create a welcoming space of trust in order to generate reflexive and positive conversations in a key moment for the production.
With a collaborative approach, we support creators so they can give their projects a boost.
Primer Test, with a wide net of collaborators and awards, helps the completing of the works and pushes their way in to the international circuit.
Primer Test will take place in Tarragona, during the REC Festival, which will be held between 3 and 8 December 2025.

The awards
International Deluxe Award, includes the production of the Master DCP OV with the original version, the Master DCP Version File with the version with English subtitles, as well as two screenings in their theater and the delivery of the film to the festivals that are selected during a year, and the generation of the KDMs necessary for the promotion of the film.
National Deluxe Award, includes the production of the DCP OV Master with the original version, the DCP Version File Master with the version with English subtitles, and the ProRes sRGB Master, and two screenings of the film for programmers and press their theatre
Individualized follow-up award and screening test, consists of the performance of a screening test in Tarragona, prior to the release of the film, with a preselected audience. For six months, an expert in marketing and distribution strategy will monitor the implementation of the project.
Tallinn Industry International WIP Award, consists of participation in the International WIP of the Baltic Event held during the Tallinn Black Nights Festival (Estonia).
